As an Occupational Health clinic, a major part of our services is supporting the health of our workforce.

Whether you're beginning a new job opportunity or fulfilling annual requirements for your current employer, our services include pre-employment exams, walk-in drug and alcohol screening, updating required vaccinations, respirator fit testing and TB testing. We also offer CPR and First Aid classes for those required to hold current certifications.

Our clinic offers TB skin tests, also known as the Mantoux test or tuberculin skin test (TST), which are a standard method for detecting latent TB infection.

TB skin tests involve injecting a small amount of purified protein derivative (PPD) solution into the skin of the forearm, and returning to our clinic to have the site assessed by POHS staff within a 48-72 hour window.

In addition to TB skin tests, we also offer QuantiFERON (QFT) blood testing as an alternative method. This test is considered more accurate and specific than TB skin tests, with less likelihood of a false positive. Depending on your medical history, this option may be preferred.
